Exciting Position

A great opportunity is now available for Purchasing Assistant to join the Purchasing Team at New Aim on a permanent basis based in West Melbourne. Currently recruiting for multiple positions to commence in March.

Working alongside with Category Buyer, you will be providing administration and support to the Category Team. Responsible for day-to-day operations of purchasing with both local and overseas suppliers, you are highly organized, motivated and able to build a strong relationship with suppliers.

 

Duties including but not limited to following:

  • Assist category buyer in sourcing and developing product category
  • Stock forecasting and inventory planning
  • Liaise and work with shipping team on production schedules and delivery schedules
  • Update purchases order with approved ETD and ETA
  • Track sample orders for product photography
  • Communicate with suppliers regularly and follow up on purchase orders status
  • Ensure relevant documentation are prepared and maintained
  • Review weekly sales reporting and analysis
  • Constantly review product performance and market trend

 

The Right Candidate

  • 1 – 2 years of relevant experience with buying or similar role but not essential
  • Exposure in retail goods is desirable
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders
